All dates come from the DuckDB release calendar. Release dates are tentative; the DuckDB team may take a little longer to get things right.
How we keep time
The calendar publishes dates, not launch times. Every clock uses 00:00 UTC on the listed date as a consistent reference, not a promised release time. At zero, a planned release switches to “Release day” or “Awaiting release” until the calendar confirms it.
The last-release clock includes patch releases and uses the most recent published date across all release lines. The LTS clock uses the calendar’s explicit end-of-life date for the latest LTS line, not an assumed one-year anniversary. The latest LTS patch is v1.4.5.
The source is checked when you open the page and every hour, with an hourly cache on Cloudflare. If the source cannot be reached, the clocks keep running from the last available snapshot and show its age. Calendar downloads are one-time, all-day reminders; they do not update automatically.
